Introduction

We are a serious association for the serious Arkansas Boer Goat Breeder. Our small group of Arkansas breeders are serious about building a better boer goat from the ground up.

Our main goal is to promote Arkansas Boer Goats that are Genetically correct that produce bigger and better kids naturally. Selective genetic boer breeding is a very special art, the famous boer goat is the Clydesdale of the goat breeds. Our breeders use a special formulated feed that is guaranteed analysis that starts with a alfalfa base and some more secret goodies. We feel that show kids must be put on creep feeders from the day they start eating, around a week or so up to one year, to give them full growth spurts.

Our Association members believe that the show ring is what keeps the value of the Registered boer goat high . The winning edge in the show circuit is everybody’s dream. That is why the ranchers pay big money for that stronger genetically bred boer goats.

Selective boer breeders that show their boer goats eventually work toward having a production sale. This process take place after the breeder has planned and selected his foundation does and herd sire. After the kid crops are born, a percentages of the new kids have to be culled, and a percentage will be kept for showing and breeding. The last small percent will sale in a once a year production sale.

It is good to have accumulated show points and pass visual inspection for ennoblement. These type of boer goats bring more money in this type of sale.

When you breed with ennobled blood line bucks, the offspring naturally hit the ground growing.
